introductions

romany vonarx - endorsed podiatrist

Vital Podiatry is the private clinical practice of Endorsed Podiatrist Romany Vonarx. I work Wednesdays at The Podiatry and Biomechanics Co in Shellharbour. Please call the clinic on 02 4295 5588 for an appointment.

clinical practice

I'm an Endorsed Podiatrist with a decades' clinical experience in private practice.  My family and I made the move from Canberra to Shellharbour in early 2024. My interest areas include human biomechanics,  natural podiatry, general foot care (treatment of nails, corns, callus), children's feet, high risk feet including acute ulcer management, diabetic foot screening and education.

Since graduating from a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours in biomechanics in 2013, I have gained an Endorsed Podiatrist qualification, which expanded my scope of practice to include therapeutic injection techniques such as cortisone and local anaesthetic. I also offer ingrowing toenail surgery and surgical excision of plantar warts.

Recently, I have enjoyed offering my biomechanical clients a natural podiatry approach. This switches the treatment focus from only orthotic prescription to utilising exercises, mobility and functional considerations. I love the ability to give tailored options to you based on your health goals.
